Youtube Partners With Eventbrite Through Video Distribution
Beginning on October 18th, official Youtube artists will be able to list their live performances through Eventbrite next to their videos on all forums (desktop/app). There will be an ‘On Tour’ option beneath the video, as well as an option to purchase tickets. Live music performances that are held across nationwide at festivals or venues will be able to get listed next to videos that coincide with the content. According to Eventbrite’s Blog, it will surface events geographically closest to you for easiest convenience.
Discover an artist’s video you like on YouTube? This integration turns the area directly underneath the video into an ‘On Tour’ section of the page, surfacing the shows geographically closest to you. Interested in checking them out live? Just click the “Tickets” button to easily snag yourself (and your friends) a ticket.
Words from Eventbrite on new innovation:
YouTube joins a suite of over 50 distribution partners that helped the promoters, event managers, producers, and creators that chose Eventbrite as their ticketing and event technology partner to reach wider audiences,” said Eventbrite in a statement. We’re excited to leverage the power of video discovery to help our clients drive ticket sales, support artists that play their venues, and give fans the kinds of live music experiences they’ll never forget…And now, together with YouTube, we’re excited to leverage the power of video discovery to help our clients drive ticket sales, support artists that play their venues, and give fans the kinds of live music experiences they’ll never forget.
This new partnership idea isn’t brand new to one of the top leading event pages- Eventbrite. This is the second ticketing deal the platform has done since last year they previously did one with Ticketmaster in fall of 2017. Having this new push to Youtube will mean for you that while you’re looking and scrolling through your favorite artist’s channel, it’ll be easier to know when and where they will be playing next.
